Job Type: Full-Time Long-Term / Permanent
Start Date: September 2026 (or ASAP)
Salary: MPS / UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs?

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Primary Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced specialist school in the Ealing area. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing environment that places pupil wellbeing, inclusion, and individual achievement at the heart of everything it does.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach primary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences that enable every child to reach their full potential.

The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs) Complex Learning Needs
You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, SENCOs, and the wider multidisciplinary team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development Develop and implement personalised learning strategies and interventions Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress against EHCP outcomes Work collaboratively with families, therapists, and external agencies Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching within a primary or SEN setting Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practices Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs Passion for supporting children with additional needs
Desirable
Experience working with ASD, SLD, MLD, or complex needs Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND legislation Experience using communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or visual supports Team Teach or positive behaviour support training
