Full Job Description

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a committed, professional, and customer focused Security Officer to become an integral part of our 24 hour Security Team. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our staff, patients, visitors, and property across the Trust's sites, including hospital wards, car parks, and outlying buildings. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a healthcare environment where your contribution directly supports patient care and staff wellbeing.,

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment across Trust premises.
  • Conduct routine patrols of hospital wards, grounds, and external facilities.
  • Respond effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
  • Monitor and operate CCTV systems in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Manage access control and assist with investigations when required.
  • Provide a visible and reassuring security presence for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and support across all areas of the Trust.

  • 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off.
  • 12-hour shifts.
  • Shift pattern is currently under review and may be subject to change.
