Full Job Description
We are looking for someone who can support the delivery of community programmes and events whilst also supporting our high-quality café offer at our Saints Bar Pool project. This new Saints project on Vernons Lane, Bar Pool will provide a community-led warm welcome for local people to enjoy, access activities and courses and engage with various agencies and partners to tackle issues related to unemployment, training education and skills, income and crime. The main responsibilities of the Saints Bar Pool Café and Community Worker are:
- Provide practical support to the Saints Bar Pool Café, ensuring all health and hygiene requirements are met, working alongside the Saints Bar Pool Centre Manager and Saints Bar Pool Café and Community Lead.
- Cook, reheat and serve food and drinks to customers at a high quality.
- Create drinks on the coffee machine at a high quality.
- Support on the running of community groups hosted in the centre, working with the Café and Community Lead and Saints Bar Pool Centre Manager.
- Support community food programmes that take place in the centre, working with the Café and Community Lead and Saints Bar Pool Centre Manager.
- Support events and other programmes of support during the school holiday periods. What we are looking for in a Saints Bar Pool Café and Community Worker
- Experience in assisting in the delivery of excellent catering and hospitality within a relevant customer-facing, high-pressured setting.
- Recent involvement in working with the community.
- Ability to form and sustain positive relationships with staff, young people and volunteers in a busy environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team, following instruction from managers.
- Really wants to work in a hospitality and community setting.
- Committed to the vision of the TFC charity and Saints Bar Pool project.
