Full Job Description

  • To ensure the safety of the customer and employees at all times, ensuring relevant risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety guidelines and pre-agreed work programme, ensuring the plan is adhered to and meets customer requirements.
  • At all times, behave in a way that protects the image of the company, presenting both yourself and your vehicle in a professional manner.
  • Be available and respond to duties, which may fall outside your normal working hours. Call out and stand by fall into these categories.
  • To liaise with customers about their specific requirements for current or future projects.
  • Manage the safety team on assignment and organise allocated assignments.
  • Responsible for vehicle and safety equipment for each assignment.
  • To ensure assets are managed and accounted for on each assignment.
  • Ensure the correct and safe use of all tools supplied by the company.
  • All equipment returned and secured on completion of the assignment.
  • When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

    Educated to reasonable level.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Experience of communicating with customers face-to-face.
  • Confidence in communicating difficult messages to people of all levels.
  • Preferable skills:
  • An electronic, mechanical or engineering background is desirable.
  • Knowledge of survey / safety industry desirable but not essential.l
  • Experience of communicating with customers on a face to face basis.
  • Manufacturer training desirable but not essential.
  • Mandatory Qualifications to be attained whilst employed
  • CS1 CS Entry with use of escape set.
  • CS2 CS Entry with use of Escape & full BA.
  • Risk assessment and method statement completion.

  • Knowledge of confined space legislation.
  • Long duration BA use and maintenance.
  • MOD CS Training - desirable.
  • Advanced driver training.
  • Thames Water passport.
  • Driver safety training.
  • Rope access trained.
  • Water rescue trained.
