Full Job Description
This is a key operational role supporting the efficient turnaround of void properties. As a Coordinator, you will act as the central link between Team Leaders, operatives, contractors, and the Housing Voids Team, ensuring works are planned, scheduled, and delivered in line with service standards. About the Role The Void Repairs service is responsible for returning empty council properties to a safe, compliant, and lettable standard as quickly as possible. As a Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing workflows, allocating work, and ensuring dependencies such as materials, inspections, and compliance are aligned to avoid delays., Work Planning & Scheduling
- Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of void repairs from initial survey through to completion
- Allocate jobs to operatives and subcontractors in line with priorities and SLA targets
- Monitor progress and proactively manage delays or changes Coordination & Communication
- Act as the main point of contact between Team Leaders, operatives, contractors, and Housing Voids
- Ensure clear and timely communication across all stakeholders
- Support resolution of operational issues and escalations Materials & Resource Management
- Arrange and monitor materials orders, deliveries, and specialist items
- Ensure resources are available to meet programme requirements Compliance & Assurance
- Coordinate statutory and compliance activities (e.g. asbestos, gas, electrical, fire safety)
- Ensure all jobs are completed in line with Council policies and lettable standards Performance Monitoring
- Track workflow progress, turnaround times, and key performance indicators
- Maintain accurate records across systems and support reporting requirements Service Improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Repairs & Maintenance Coordinator to join our Void Repairs team within the Repairs and Maintenance Service., Experience working in repairs, maintenance, housing, or construction environments (desirable) - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good IT skills with experience of scheduling or job management systems
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement.
