Full Job Description
Kimbolton School are looking to appoint a motivated and committed Resident Sports Graduate to join our successful PE & Games Department on a one-year fixed-term contract. The role will involve delivering sports coaching to pupils right through from our Prep School to the Sixth Form, supporting the teaching of sport in both practical and academic contexts, and undertaking a range of administrative duties to assist the department. Experience of playing or coaching at a high level in one or more of the following sports would be desirable: football, cricket, netball, tennis, hockey, or an expertise in Strength & Conditioning. This post offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside an outstanding team while gaining valuable experience in preparation for a future career in teaching or sports coaching.
The successful candidate will also participate in wider aspects of school life including a range of extra-curricular activities, full participation in our boarding community, and involvement in our CCF contingent, all whilst receiving mentorship, support, and training specific to progressing into a career in teaching, coaching, or working with children.
Whilst this role will not lead to an official qualification, successful Graduate Teachers will have our full commitment as we support them to apply and prepare for a PGCE or similar formal teacher training as the next step in their career journey.
