Full Job Description
- Work closely with the Theatre Manager and technical team to support all Drama, Dance and Music productions
- Liaise with directors to understand production requirements
- Assist with the design, planning and rigging of technical equipment
- Programme technical effects in advance of performances
- Support the operation of sound using Allen & Heath and Qlab
- Support the operation of lighting using ETC Eos
- Assist with de-rigging and set construction for internal productions
- Support the maintenance of theatre spaces and equipment
- Assist with props, costumes and technical requirements for productions and examinations
- Provide support to Drama lessons where required
- Assist with wider College events such as open mornings and summer events
- Provide general support across the College when needed, including reception cover
- Undertake chaperoning duties where required
- Actively contribute to the wider co-curricular life of the school
- Follow all health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- The role also includes involvement in the College's summer lettings programme, and the postholder will be expected to support these activities as required, Hurstpierpoint College would like all candidates to answer specific questions for the personal statement section. - Educated to A Level (or equivalent), including GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or above)
