Research Fellow in Marine Sediment Biogeochemistry

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements., You could be a key member of our team investigating how marine sediment geochemistry and organic carbon decomposition responds to influence of seabed trawling on the UK continental shelf. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the NERC-funded SeaSTORE project, you will help co-ordinate and lead-aspects of seagoing fieldwork, lab experiments, sample analyses, data modelling and interpretation, to learn if and how seabed trawling affects long-term marine carbon storage and to influence governance of the UK seabed.
