Full Job Description

Are you a resilient and experienced residential manager who can lead a team of carers to provide high-quality individualised care for children in need?

Do you have a good working knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practices in the field of children's services? Do you want to join a dynamic, expanding service supporting vulnerable children and their families in Coventry? If you answered yes to these questions, you could be the ideal candidate to become the Manager of our Complex Needs home. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Operational Leads to build an effective team and achieve outstanding outcomes for children living within the home. You will need the ability to use your own initiative with the expectation being that you drive forward improvements, to exceed the requirements of the Children Homes Regulations 2015 and best practice standards identified within the SCCIF. You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery. We welcome applications from established managers and deputy managers who have:

  • within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children
  • worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
