The Jacobs Cities & Places team create thriving places across different scales - from regions to cities, neighbourhoods to individual buildings and all through an integrated design approach. Our business unit brings together engineers, architects, surveyors, urban designers, project managers and transport planners to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for our clients, both nationally and internationally. We are currently looking for a talented Regional / Portfolio Lead to drive the growth of our local government client accounts across the north of England. With experience in leading operational delivery of successful client frameworks / contracts you will work with our Framework Managers and delivery teams to drive growth and successful client relationships. We are looking for professionals who can embed a client-centric culture, including regular and proactive interaction with client teams, and who are able to develop growth plans that provide opportunity for our technical capabilities across the Buildings and Infrastructure business. The nature of work requires candidates to have a clear understanding of the contemporary challenges facing our local government clients. Working closely with our Operations and Sales teams, the Portfolio Lead will be accountable for the delivery of a portfolio of contracts (including projects and programs) and achieving the required safety, commercial, quality and environmental outcomes for our clients and the business.
- This role is based on a Hybrid basis from our Leeds, Manchester, Warrington or Newcastle offices and the nature of the role does require weekly attendance at client offices across the north of England
- Full time employment with Jacobs is on the basis of 40 hours pw
Experience of working in a local Authority organisation or delivering multi-disciplinary services to organisations in that sector _ an understanding of the local government sector and the contemporary challenges our clients face - Experience as a project and people leader who can drive vision and purpose
- Relationship management, strategic influencing and engagement skills that cultivate trust
- Commercial awareness relevant to the winning and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and an active listener
- Experience of leading successful client relationships with a demonstrable track record of delivery and commercial excellence and client account growth
