products with real commercial impactCollaborate with our UK Research and Development CentreInfluence product strategy and market growthEngage with customers, technical experts, and industry bodiesPlay a key role in sustainability and future construction solutionsWhat you'll be doingAs a VAP Mix Designer, you'll lead the design, testing, and deployment of advanced concrete products. You'll:Identify and develop new, innovative RMX products aligned to market opportunitiesEvaluate designs against performance, cost, and commercial viabilityBuild strong relationships with internal teams and customers to spot opportunitiesPlan and execute laboratory and plant trialsEnsure compliance through audits and testing protocolsDeliver technical training to product support and operational teamsDrive continuous improvement across site and laboratory practicesMonitor and optimise control and batching systemsSupport integration of new products into mainstream production processesChampion safety, quality, and

operational excellence in all activitiesWhat we're looking forWe're seeking a driven and collaborative technical professional with a passion for innovation. You will also require:Strong understanding of Readymix testing processes and corrective actionsKnowledge of cement chemistry and admixture technologiesAbility to translate technical performance into practical, scalable solutionsProactive approach and a solution focused mindsetResilience and be adaptable in a dynamic environmentAbility to engage with and influence diverse stakeholdersCommitted to continuous learning, particularly in sustainabilityCity & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (or equivalent)Concrete-related qualification e.g. Concrete Society, University Certificate in Concrete Technology (advantageous)Knowledge and experience of concrete products, processes, applications and best practiceYou'll thrive if you…Enjoy solving complex technical challengesWant to influence product innovation from concept to deploymentValue collaboration
