We are seeking a Reading Intervention & Wellbeing Co-ordinator who will play a vital role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for both students and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed, creative, and driven to help learners flourish academically, emotionally, and socially. Please note this role will be supporting both Parkside House School sites; Backworth NE27 0AB & Ashington NE63 8AP What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging reading interventions that build fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.
- Support students with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs to thrive.
- Promote a positive reading culture and adapt resources to engage diverse learners.
- Lead wellbeing initiatives for students and staff, acting as a wellbeing ambassador across sites.
- Collaborate with staff and external partners to create an inclusive, supportive environment.
- Monitor progress and wellbeing data to inform practice and improve provision.
- Signpost staff to appropriate support services and contribute to whole-school wellbeing pathways.
GCSE's or equivalent required - Is passionate about literacy and wellbeing.
- Has experience supporting students with diverse needs.
- Communicates with warmth, clarity, and confidence.
- Can build strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
- Brings creativity and enthusiasm to intervention and wellbeing work.
- Driving licence required
