Full Job Description
To support the imaging modalities and other clinical staff within the Radiology Department by assisting with the reception and care of all patients. The role also includes carrying out a range of healthcare and clerical duties, in line with the post holder's competencies.
- Support Clinical Care- Assist in the organisation, delivery, and evaluation of clinical care for patients within the department.
- Welcome and Orientation- Ensure patients and visitors are welcomed to the department and provide assistance with their orientation.
- Provide basic nursing care- Deliver basic nursing care within the limits of your competencies, including care for terminally ill, disabled, elderly, confused patients, and children. To be aware of current issues and policies within the Trust & the department and adhere to them. To communicate using appropriate verbal and nonverbal methods, in a variety of situations, overcoming physical & psychological barriers, supports new & nervous patients To assist in the day-to-day running of the department, assisting/supporting the radiographers and other staff coordinate the running of the department in all specialties within the department areas.
