Gordon Street Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team., We are a forward-thinking GP practice operated by East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership and are entering an exciting new phase of development. We are looking for a nurse who shares our commitment to high-quality patient care, innovation, education, and continuous improvement. As an LGBT+ inclusive practice and a training practice for the Staffordshire GPN Foundation School, we are passionate about supporting professional development and creating a welcoming environment for both patients and staff. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team, delivering a range of nursing services to our patient population while contributing to the ongoing development of the practice. This role offers excellent opportunities for learning, teaching, professional growth, and involvement in research and quality improvement initiatives., The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care within a primary care setting, including:
- Chronic disease management clinics including diabetes, asthma, COPD and cardiovascular disease.
- Cervical screening.
- Immunisations and vaccinations.
- Wound care and dressings.
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice.
- NHS Health Checks.
- Long-term condition monitoring and reviews.
- Infection prevention and control activities.
- Supporting quality improvement and population health initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
- Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
