Are you a qualified, or soon to be qualified, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) looking for a service committed to your professional development and that puts staff wellbeing and patient care at the heart of everything they do? If so, we have a great opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join on a full-time basis. We are a nationally recognized, high-performing NHS Talking Therapies service, supporting over 15,000 adults with common mental health difficulties annually. Staff wellbeing is a priority, with dedicated initiatives, away days, and an Employee Assistance Programme. Qualified PWPs must maintain annual registration with the BPS or BABCP, with unregistered candidates starting at Band 4 until confirmed.We expect our staff to share and demonstrate our values and be caring, safe and excellent in everything we do, constantly striving to improve the quality of care we provide and the experience that patients can expect.Main duties of the job The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct telephone screenings for adults with common mental health issues, including those with long-term conditions, to assess presenting problems, desired changes, and treatment options.
- Evaluate risk to self and others, create risk management plans, and address safeguarding concerns in consultation with Safeguarding Leads.
- Provide information on the stepped care model and evidence-based interventions, including Guided Self-Help, psychoeducation, digital therapies, and pharmacological options
- Determine appropriate interventions or referrals within the stepped care framework in collaboration with a supervisor.
- Set and review professional objectives with senior therapists as part of ongoing development.
