Full Job Description
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. What you'll be doing You'll lead one of our delivery teams, making sure work is aligned to product roadmaps and delivers a great experience for millions of supporters. You'll oversee the delivery of complex changes and enhancements while ensuring our key digital products run smoothly with strong operational support. Managing a broad range of stakeholders will be central to your role, as you'll work with colleagues across the organisation as well as external partners to deliver shared outcomes. You'll also be responsible for managing team budgets, ensuring spend is tracked carefully and remains within agreed limits. As you guide delivery, you'll apply appropriate governance and frameworks, with the flexibility to use Agile, traditional waterfall methods, or a blend of both depending on the project. Alongside this, you'll oversee risk management, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, and escalated at the right time to support effective and confident decision-making. - Background of delivery in digital or technical environments, ideally with line management experience
- Able to manage resources, budgets, governance, and risk
- Confident influencing and working with senior stakeholders
- Good knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and tools like Jira
- Experience supporting live systems, incidents, and change delivery
- Strong track record working with third-party suppliers
- Delivery-focused, with the ability to solve problems and drive clarity

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us, leading and supporting a team of Delivery Managers to ensure high-quality delivery across multiple digital workstreams and help create exceptional experiences for our members, supporters, and visitors. This is a fixed-term contract that will end when the employee returns from secondment. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
