Production Operative

To operate machinery and mobile equipment safely and efficiently within the hammermill area, ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting general site operations., Mobile Plant Operation

• Forklift Truck:
• Empty bins as required
• Refill fuel bowser
• Telehandler:
• Load the hammermill
• Push up and manage stick piles
• Clear waste from the factory floor
• Shunter Vehicle:
• Empty metal skips
• Collect and transport stick frames
Manual & Operational Tasks
• Remove non-conforming materials from stick piles
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks
• Bank and guide lorries safely into the building
• Supervise safe unloading of deliveries
• Conduct quality control checks on infeed materials
Health & Safety
• Operate all equipment in line with site safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Report any hazards, defects, or incidents promptly
  
  Experience operating forklifts, telehandlers, and/or shunters (preferred)
• Good awareness of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
• Strong attention to detail, particularly for quality checks
• Team player with good communication skills
