Production Manager

32 hours (Friday 6am-2pm, Saturday 6am-6pm & Sunday 10am-10pm) Here at our Valeo Foods York site we are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager (Weekends) to support in delivering strategic and day-to-day operational excellence. As the Production Manager you'll be the guardian of our production, ensuring that all resources are utilised effectively to exceed our KPIs. From maintaining top-notch health and safety standards to fostering team development, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You will need to be able to drive change and push continuous improvement across production. What you'll be doing

• Support delivery of operational strategy and day-to-day performance
• Monitor KPIs (costs, waste, labour, OEE) and drive corrective actions
• Lead continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Ensure strong health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Maintain audit readiness across all areas
• Improve environmental, hygiene, and housekeeping standards
• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve site objectives
  
  Key Experience & Skills Experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and best practice
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams
• Understanding of HSE, quality, and cost control
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach
