Responsibilities:

  • Data Retrieval and Analysis: Gather, cleanse, and analyse data from various Procurement and Finance tools to create reliable, fact-based reporting for the Procurement team and the wider organization.
  • Strategic Opportunity Identification: Utilize data to find and quantify tactical and strategic opportunities. Proactively engage in projects, identifying areas for improvement and supporting cost efficiency opportunities.
  • Data Management: Develop and execute modelling and cleansing plans, ensuring alignment of people, processes, and systems. Manage data from start to finish, including planning, execution, and validation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify requirements and define data management objectives. Contribute to the development of analytics offerings, ensuring they remain attractive, credible, and relevant.
  • Product Development: Contribute to analytics product development and staged releases in line with the Data Analytics Framework, including Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics.

Requirements:

You will have:

  • Proven experience in data retrieval, cleansing, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data cleansing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI.

Location:

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance. Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check), a health assessment, and a security check.
