Full Job Description

Reporting directly to, supporting and working with the Deputy Chief Pharmacist, you'll be active in:- Leadership: Take the reins of a dynamic team responsible for pharmacy clinical services, providing strong and visionary leadership.- Innovation: Seize the opportunity to not just deliver services but to innovate, shape, and improve how we serve our patients. - Strategic Impact: You'll have the strategic freedom to build a robust team that ensures we meet our current objectives while setting the course for our future, aligned with the department's strategic vision.- Patient-Centric Focus: Ensure that our services are patient-focused, safe, efficient, and effective, responding to both internal and external demands.- Professional Leadership: Lead the way in pharmacy services by inspiring multi-professional teams to achieve their goals and objectives.,

  • To be the pharmacy service lead for clinical services and provide highly specialist advice on all aspects of medicine use.

  • To work across the interface to ensure the Trust and the ICB work collaboratively on the implementation of key clinical service priorities in line with strategic plans.

  • Interpret broad clinical/professional policies and NHS guidance especially in relation to clinical pharmacy service delivery to ensure Trust excellence in partnership with ICB/NHSE.

  • To lead on assigned medicine transformation programmes with respect to efficiencies that may be achieved in medicine usage in-line with local and national priorities.

  • To advise the pharmacy senior leadership team of the impact of the strategic plans of the relevant divisions on pharmacy services and plan collaborative initiatives to support the ICS.

  • Making a significant contribution to the delivery of corporate, divisional, and departmental operational and strategic priorities and to the modernisation of pharmacy services across the Trust.

    Actively representing divisional service delivery at departmental senior management meetings and deputising for the Deputy Chief Pharmacist and members of the pharmacy senior management team at relevant meetings as required.
