Full Job Description

HMP Thorn Cross is a Category D / open prison in Appleton Thorn, Warrington, housing around 430 males. HMP Thorn Cross offers:

  • 37.5 hours per week over 4 days
  • Weekdays 7.30am - 5.30pm
  • Weekends 07.15am - 12.00pm, As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
  • Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
  • Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.

  • Working at Senior Nurse level
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship

    This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of between £51,643 - £58,012 per annum depending on experience.
