Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Technician to join our friendly and professional physiotherapy team at Rivers Hospital. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services, working closely under the supervision of qualified physiotherapists.
You'll be an essential member of the team, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and supporting both clinical and administrative aspects of the department.
The main scope would be ward based, weekend cover with an option for weekdays to cover increased clinical demand and department needs., Undertake specific delegated support work to aid patient rehabilitation and discharge, as assigned by qualified physiotherapists.
Manage a delegated caseload, accepting patients referred by the physiotherapist and delivering treatment under supervision.
Carry out treatments in line with prescribed protocols, monitoring progress and making minor alterations within your scope of practice and guidance.
Maintain clear, accurate records of interventions and communicate effectively with the wider clinical team.
Assist with non-clinical, patient-centred administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, documentation, and maintaining the therapy environment.
Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is desirable.
Understanding of physiotherapy and its role in patient recovery.
Ability to follow guidance and treatment plans from qualified staff.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, compassionate approach to patient care.
Good organisational and time management skills.
