Phlebotomist

We are looking for a confident and well-presented individual to join our phlebotomy team. The collection of quality blood samples from patients is a vital stage in many medical investigations. The successful applicants must enjoy working with people and possess good communication skills. Based at Royal Stoke the successful applicant will be expected to work at the community centres as well as Royal Stoke and County Hospitals You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail is important along with basic keyboard skills and applicants should enjoy the challenge of working in a fast pace patient environment.,

• NVQ /QCF level 2 /apprenticeship level 2 or equivalent in related subject or GCSE English and maths at C grade or above or equivalent
Desirable
• GCSE at grade c or above or equivalent in a science subject
• Care related NVQ
Experience Essential
• Evidence of manual dexterity and technical work
• Experience of working as part of a team.
Desirable
• Previous work involving Phlebotomy
• Work in a healthcare role or similar
Skills & Knowledge Essential
• Ability to work to defined protocols and seek advice where appropriate
• Basic Keyboard Skills
