Full Job Description

The Pharmacy support worker, systems will assist in the archiving of pharmacy documentation and removal / retrieval of archive boxes with external storage company in accordance with legal requirements. They will contribute to the efficient delivery of pharmacy services with accurate charge capture of medicines administered and support efficient workflows for pharmacy services, accuracy of data and month end processes.

  • Replenish stocks and consumables as / if required.
  • Support archive room processes and month end tasks.
  • Conduct stock takes and expiry date checking.
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed.
  • Additional duties may be required within the scope of the role and / or services.
  • Process failed Compucare 8 charges ensuring accuracy of patient accounts.
  • Manage pharmacy archiving following legal retention periods. Arrange off site collections.
  • Support dispensaries with daily stock takes, expiry date checking and stock rotation.
  • Support dispensaries with year end stock take audit.
  • Undergo in-house training and demonstrate competency.
  • Undergo mandatory training modules.
  • Answer the telephone and redirect calls, as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace at all times.

    Good general education, GCSEs in English or Maths or equivalent experience
  • NVQ2 or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification
  • IT/Excel skills
  • Pharmacy Student working towards MPharm (Desirable)
  • Previous hospital or pharmacy experience and customer care experience (Desirable)
