Full Job Description

A lady in the Norham (TD15 2LA) area is looking for a committed female care assistant to provide support to allow her to remain independent within her own home. This is a Weekend position with holiday cover during the week required.The successful applicant must have a driving license and be willing to drive the client's car. The main tasks will include:

  • support with basic morning routine & all aspects of personal care
  • support to get up, shower & dress, apply creams and eye drops.
  • sleep apnoea mask to be emptied & washed.
  • support with breakfast, lunch and also make prep for evening meal
  • essential bathroom & kitchen hygiene
  • The ideal candidate will be happy with an outgoing nature, the ability to cheer the client up on their quieter days and have a positive outlook towards life. Somebody physically able to manage a wheelchair is essential as the client requires support when out in the community. Somebody willing to learn the ropes and then make themselves at home, completing tasks as appropriate and managing the job at hand with limited guidance would be preferred. Hours:
  • 2 hours call Approximately 9am both Saturday and Sunday morning
  • 1 hour call approximately 6pm both Saturday and Sunday evening
  • Flexibility on times is available for the right applicant
