With our own garden and Forest School, we embrace outdoor learning. Our story telling garden was opened by local author, Kes Grey and it includes a wildlife area and pond. We offer an extensive range of additional clubs and activities for children to participate in.

We are seeking to appoint a caring individual to cover lunch duty and support a child with an EHC Plan to join our team. You would be required to support the child with their personal needs, medical intervention, intimate care and learning needs in order to enable them to access and participate in school life. The role would also involve working with other children in the class setting. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to act on your own initiative and work within a team. You will need to be able to understand individual needs and follow advice and plans from specialists.

You will need to:

· Be a positive, supportive and caring practitioner

· Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable

· Have very high expectations for learning and behaviour

· Have the ability to work as part as a team, be flexible, solutions focused and good humoured

· Be knowledgeable of child development

· Preferably at least 2 years of experience working in a school

· Experience of adapting the curriculum for pupils with SEND

· Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs

Term time only, fixed term subject to SEN funding.

18hrs 45mins hours p/week Monday - Friday 11:30-15:15 (start and end times are negotiable for the right candidate)

LG Scale 3, SP 5-6 (£24,790-£25,183FTE salary)

Actual annual salary £10,480-£10,646
