Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an Outreach Support Worker to support a young lady in accessing the local community and participating in outdoor activities in a safe, planned, and manageable way.
The purpose of this role is to help the client build confidence when leaving her home and reduce the impact of anxiety in social situations. Over time, the successful candidate will support her in developing communication skills, expressing her needs, and forming relationships in a way that is comfortable for her, while helping to lessen the effects of anxiety and situational mutism on her daily life.
The client enjoys outings within the community and would particularly like support with:
Shopping trips
Visits to coffee shops
Community-based activities
Outdoor leisure activities
The ideal candidate will be patient, understanding, reliable, and committed to providing person-centred support that promotes independence and confidence.
