Job Purpose:

To work as part of a Neurodevelopmental Nursing Team (NDNT) that provides support and management of children with severe or complex learning disabilities or neurodevelopmental disabilities including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, and global-developmental delay.

To work closely with community paediatricians, children and young people, parents/carers, general practitioners, schools and other partners to develop a greater understanding of the conditions and facilitate appropriate support for children, young people and their families.

The post holder will work autonomously whilst being part of a nursing team that provides a community-based service undertaken in the Halton Child Development Centre, GP surgeries and other clinical centres, Family Hubs and at home.

The post holder will be an experienced nurse with strong clinical leadership and demonstrate an ability to further develop service provision in this area of clinical practice

You will have a passion for working with children and young people and will work within a team that provides support and management of children with severe or complex learning disabilities or neuro-developmental disabilities including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, and global-developmental delay.

The team deliver services to children and young people across the borough of Halton (Widnes and Runcorn) .The vacancy is a full-time role 37.5hours however, the team would welcome applications from nurses who may wish to work on a part time or job share basis. Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS FT has a well-established flexible working policy in place to support a positive work-life balance.

The Child Development Centre offers free parking. Mileage and toll bridge expenses can be claimed for duties requiring a crossing of the bridges.
