Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity which has arisen within the established Colorectal Secretarial Team on a 12 month secondment/fixed term contract. The post will be to work directly with named Colorectal Consultants and to support the wider Colorectal team including SAS grades, Colorectal CNS. Providing a comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative services. Applicants must be confident communicators with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels. You will need to be an enthusiastic, motivated team player, with excellent problem-solving skills.,
- Working to strict Trust and Government policies and Waiting list management and 18 weeks guideline
- Preparing and validating waiting lists.
- Escalate any urgent problems to a senior manager within a timely manner
You will require high levels of tact, diplomacy, with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively in the management and running of this secretarial office . - To act as the point of contact for patients and medical staff on behalf of the consultant and his/her team ensuring that all queries are answered with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous and professional manner.
- Typing and dispatch of clinical correspondence related to NHS medical patients within agreed timescales and quality standards
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, TA+, Ormis, Cito and e-mail systems
- Diary management
- Telephone queries
