Carlisle Support Services is seeking an experienced events professional to lead our Matchday operation at Turf Moor. Leading the event security and stewarding team at the home of Burnley Football Club

  • Location: Turf Moor- Home of Burnley FC (BB10 4BX)
  • Pay: £16.50 per hour
  • Hours: Casual shifts for football and ad-hoc events (usually 7-12 hours long)
  • Football events primarily take place on evenings and weekends. As a Matchday manager, you will lead and motivate a team of event operatives including direct supervisor report and indirect Security and stewarding staff, ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all staff and visitors at the venue. You'll be responsible for delivering a 5-star service in line with the venue's licensing conditions and high standards. Please be aware that this is not a full time role, the Casual Event Security and Stewarding Manager will work alongside the Events' Operations Team to fulfil the management provision for sporting events across the North of England. There is no expectation of the candidate to be able to travel regularly to all of the aforementioned venues, however it is intended that the postholder will be designated a regular position at one of these venues and then also have the opportunity to support the other contracts in accordance with clashes within the fixture calendar., As a Security and Stewarding Manager, you will be helping in all manner of ways including, but not limited to:
  • Manage all security personnel and stewards
  • Attend pre-event safety briefs and meeting with client's management and other stakeholders
  • Ensure all staff are fully briefed, conducting a mass briefing before delegating to Supervisory team
  • Manage the matchday administration process
  • Oversee the pre-match deployment according to pre-defined specification
  • Oversee the necessary compliance, uniform and punctuality standards
  • Co-ordinate the during-match re-deployments as necessary
  • Report resource figures to Events' Operations team
  • Uphold the licensing objectives
  • Site patrol, risk management and incident response
  • Customer information and welfare
  • Ensure all incidents and concerns are reported via the client
  • Ensure all staff are accounted for and debriefed
  • Produce post-event reports to both Carlisle Events and the Client

    Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification
  • Level 4 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded)
  • Experience within sporting stadia safety and security operations (Essential)
  • Understanding and knowledge of supporting legislation (Ground Regulations, SGSA Green Guide etc)
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to working all fixtures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Smart, professional appearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desirable: Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues such as Huddersfield Town,Leeds United, Manchester Central, Anfield Stadium and M&S Bank Arena
