Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Marketing Manager (Mandarin speaker) to promote our brand to our target customers and potential franchisees in the UK market. The successful candidate must be bilingual (English and Chinese), possess strong marketing and communication skills, be familiar with the UK food and beverage market, and have knowledge of trends in the Chinese beverage industry. This is a newly created role that is key for the business.

As the sole in-house expert, the successful Marketing Manager will be responsible for preparing and delivering the brand and marketing plan.

The Marketing Manager Role:

  • Sole responsibility for business' marketing strategy and plan

  • Maintenance of website

  • Working with current team to ensure all company literature is accurate and well presented

  • Designs advertising plans (in both Chinese and English) according to marketing requirements, monitors the progress of advertising campaigns and make modifications if necessary;

  • Develops digital marketing strategies and copywriting (mainly in Chinese), plans and writes regular contents & articles on Chinese social media platforms, eg.: Facebook, WeChat, Weibo, Little Redbook (Xiao Hong Shu), etc. to promote company brand awareness;

  • Sending out press releases

  • Coordinating with other companies

  • Production of presentations

  • Digital and physical marketing

  • Create content for trade shows

  • Actively engage with the sales teams on a weekly/ monthly basis to understand brand and account performance issues.

  • Support the brand lead in developing a long-term brand marketing strategy.

  • Support the brand team with trade and consumer promotions.

  • Undertake digital marketing campaigns

    Must be bilingual in both English and Chinese, fluent in written and verbal. (mandatory requirement)

  • Educated to Bachelor's Degree or above. (mandatory requirement)

  • Experienced Marketing Manager and/or related marketing qualifications

  • Great communication skills

  • Strong communication skills and marketing awareness, understanding of Chinese culture, keen insight, and ability to identify target customer groups and market trends, etc. (mandatory requirement)

  • Sound knowledge of digital marketing; in-depth working knowledge and experience of using a wide range of Chinese social media & digital communication platforms, including but not limited to: WeChat, Weibo, and etc. (mandatory requirement)

  • Must have excellent copywriting skills (Chinese) to produce regular articles for both online and offline marketing campaigns. (mandatory requirement)

  • Solid knowledge in market research & analysis, strategic thinking, project management and negotiation. (mandatory requirement)

  • Candidates with established client base would be highly desirable. (highly desirable)

  • Basic accounting knowledge, in particular cost control and budgeting. (highly desirable)

  • Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, Adobe Photoshop and video editing. (highly desirable)
