Full Job Description

  • Clinical assessment - Independently review, diagnose, and manage patients across acute and elective settings.
  • Ward cover - Lead ward rounds, update care plans, and ensure safe patient flow.
  • Emergency response - Provide immediate management of acutely unwell patients, including cardiac arrest response (ALS).
  • On call duties - Participate in rota-based on call shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Documentation - Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with GMC and Trust standards.
  • Team collaboration - Work closely with consultants, nursing teams, AHPs, and other medical staff.
  • Supervision - Support junior doctors and contribute to safe clinical decision-making.
  • Governance - Participate in audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement activities.

    The Locum SAS Doctor (ST3+) will provide senior clinical support across designated specialties within the NHS Trust. The postholder must hold valid ALS certification, demonstrate strong NHS experience, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The role involves direct patient care, ward-based duties, on call commitments, and multidisciplinary collaboration., GMC registration with licence to practise
