The pub is currently undergoing a £200,000 refurbishment which will enhance the pubs great casual dining menu offering, a full wet offer, Sky Sports and TNT, darts board and three ensuite bedrooms which were refurbished in 2024. 

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Line Chef at the Black Dog. With over 175 years of brewing excellence, Joseph Holt is a seasoned expert in making the perfect pint, are now seeking an enthusiastic Line Chef to match that level of perfection in our kitchen.

As a Line Chef, you’ll go beyond the art of preparing, cooking, and presenting our delectable menu—you’ll be an integral part of a kitchen team dedicated to maintaining the highest hygiene standards. Interested? Here’s what we need from you:

• Some experience working in a commercial kitchen as a line chef or kitchen assistant

• Passion for delivering exceptional food, and cooking to our spec every time

• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

• Eye for detail and ability to work calmly under pressure

• Ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the business – including weekends and evenings

Salary: from £14 p/h

Hours: 30+ per week
