Legal Officer

We have an opportunity for a legal officer to join a small team for up to five months to deal with both contentious and non-contentious employment matters on a full or part time basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous employment law experience and be able to undertake legal research and provide advice (under supervision) to public sector clients on employee relations matters. They will also be able to review policies and procedures and contracts, advise on equalities obligations, and support the team on employment tribunals matters. They will also be able (under supervision) to advise on TUPE and a broad range of other employment issues for clients.

This is a unique opportunity for a legal assistant with previous employment law experience to develop their skills with the support and guidance of senior lawyers.

Occasional office attendance in Plymouth will be required as necessary as may attendance at Tribunals. Fully remote working will not be considered.
