Contract: Permanent, Full-time


Salary: £33,596 - £51,932

About the Role


We are looking for a motivated individual to deliver high-quality teaching across Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering programmes. You will support learners from a variety of backgrounds, bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum. You will deliver City & Guilds Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Levels 1-3 and City & Guilds Technical Certificates Levels 1-3.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Delivering engaging teaching sessions and preparing relevant learning materials

  • Marking and assessing student work

  • Providing guidance, feedback and pastoral support to learners

  • Acting as a personal tutor when required

  • Working with awarding bodies and supporting exam processes

  • Maintaining accurate documentation such as registers, schemes of work, course reviews, student reports and course files



What We're Looking For


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering discipline

  • A teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one within two years

  • Awareness of quality standards within teaching

  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments within your specialist area

  • Understanding of a broad range of learning needs and support strategies

  • Ability to analyse key information to inform teaching and learning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Energy, enthusiasm and a learner-focused approach

  • Welsh language skills (desirable)
