Your Day-to-Day Impact Exciting Opportunity: Become a Key Lecturer and Inspire Learners! We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering outstanding teaching and mentoring to our Engineering students. In this position, you will:
- Deliver and assess specialist units in CNC programming and operation, manual machining (lathe and milling), CAD/CAM, hand fitting, and workshop-based manufacturing processes.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and engaging teaching materials to support student learning.
- Monitor learner progress, set meaningful targets and provide high-quality personal tutoring support. You will also be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and college policies
- Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
A degree, apprenticeship, or industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering - A strong technical knowledge of CNC programming and operating, CAD/CAM, manual machining, hand fitting and workshop practices.
- Experience (or willingness to train) in teaching and assessment within Further/Higher Education
- A recognised teaching qualification or commitment to gaining one
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire learners of all backgrounds Personal Attributes
