You
will bring energy and enthusiasm to the learning environment, support learners from a variety of backgrounds, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.Key responsibilities include:
Delivering engaging teaching sessions and preparing relevant learning materialsMarking and assessing student workProviding guidance, feedback and pastoral support to learnersLiaising with awarding bodies and supporting exam processesWorking collaboratively with tutors across curriculum areasMaintaining accurate documentation such as registers, schemes of work, course reviews and student reports
What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have:
A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant Fabrication and Welding disciplineA teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards oneStrong understanding and application of mathematical conceptsUp-to-date knowledge of developments within your specialist areaExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniquesStrong organisational skills and the ability to work independently to deadlinesGood IT skills, ideally including Microsoft Office and Google applicationsAwareness of quality standards within teachingWelsh language skills (desirable)
