Full Job Description

As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager & colleague in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence & well-being., The successful candidate will join the Theatres and Anaesthesia division as part of our team of pre-assessment nurses.

This role will require focused assessment and patient communication skills, as well as the ability to work with a broad range of healthcare professionals to ensure patients are optimised prior to their surgical procedure.

They will also be expected to work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines and take responsibility for:a. Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients and clientsb. Assessment of care and health education needsc. Development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient

There is also an expectation for the successful candidate to demonstrate leadership and management skills in taking charge of the ward/department in the absence of the person holding continuous responsibility, and in acting as a facilitator/mentor preceptor to all learners.

We require a motivated individual who can work autonomously & within a team with a flexible approach to work planning & management. You must have excellent communication & team working skills, be able to engage with a variety of stakeholders & demonstrate positive professional role modelling. You need to have a passion for supporting & developing yourself & others.
