Full Job Description
We currently have vacancies for x2 lawyers working in the Governance & Information team. Fast-paced and part of a highly performing Partnership, these posts require someone with enthusiasm and dynamism to handle Governance and Information preparations for Local Government Re-Organisation (LGR) and advice on a wide-ranging caseload of Corporate Governance and Information law. There is also a more generalist nature to the role so you will also be required to work flexibly across teams delivering legal support to a range of Council clients.
The Council has a fully flexible working system that includes home/hybrid working, with adaptable working hours subject to meeting our clients' needs. The current salary is up to £58,865 plus benefits at Grade 11. To be successful you will be a practicing Lawyer (appointed at Grade 10), Solicitor or Barrister (appointed at grade 11) with 3+ years Post-Qualified Experience together with strong written and advisory skills and competence with IT and case management systems. In addition, you will have experience of working within a highly political context and an enabling, positive approach to finding solutions to complex problems as well as a good appreciation of risk management. You will be required to work flexibly across multiple sites and from home, as part of a positive, multi skilled team supporting colleagues across all of our services.
