LARC Health Care Assistant (Dorset)

Mid Hampshire Healthcare (MHH) is looking for a caring, compassionate, and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our growing clinical team supporting the delivery of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) services across Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking healthcare organisation delivering high-quality women's health services within local communities. Working alongside experienced clinicians, you will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey and helping to ensure clinics run safely, effectively, and efficiently. Whether you already have experience in women's health or are looking to develop specialist skills in this area, we would love to hear from you. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you grow and develop within the role. • Supporting clinicians during contraceptive implant and intrauterine device (IUD/IUS) clinics.
• Preparing clinical rooms, equipment, and supplies for consultations and procedures.
• Undertaking delegated clinical duties within your training and competencies.
• Recording patient observations and supporting patient assessments where appropriate.
• Chaperoning patients during consultations and procedures.
• Supporting patients before, during, and following clinical procedures.
• Providing a professional, welcoming, and compassionate service to patients.
• Assisting with clinic administration, patient registration, appointment management, and record keeping.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using EMIS and other digital systems.
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring clinical areas remain clean, safe, and fully equipped.
• Supporting health promotion and patient education activities.
• Contributing to service improvement, quality assurance, and clinical governance activities.
