Lab Housekeeping Operative

Join Sodexo as a Laboratory Housekeeping Operative and play a vital role in maintaining exceptional cleanliness, safety, and service standards across a busy scientific environment. You will help ensure laboratory and support areas are kept to the highest standard to enable client business as usual, while working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across the Cambridge Campus. This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality facilities support every day. What you'll do:

• Deliver a 5-star customer service experience to users within the allocated floor plate area
• Ensure site rules and access/egress procedures are followed, supporting users to remain compliant at all times
• Carry out scheduled cleaning to a high standard in line with Sodexo service scope and site requirements
• Clean laboratories in accordance with relevant GxP standards and complete documentation in line with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Report all faults and issues promptly to the relevant service partner or Site Services Manager
• Manage waste disposal and segregation in line with hygiene, environmental, and site standards
• Support continuous improvement by identifying and encouraging innovations in environmental and service sustainability
  
  Strong ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment
• Proven experience working collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and compliance
• Ability to work independently using own initiative when required
• Flexible, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Hands-on, proactive attitude with a willingness to get involved in all tasks
• Ability to complete and maintain required client and regulatory training in line with GxP standards
