Junior IT Support Technician

In this role, you will ensure that IT governance, guidelines, policies, and procedures are adhered to, supporting the smooth operation of Sulzer's IT systems. Leveraging the tools and methods available, you'll help maintain and optimise the IT systems and processes that power our operations, ensuring the business runs seamlessly. Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensuring IT services and systems are returned to an operational state as quickly as possible, following defined processes and documentation within SLAs.
• Handling all Tier 2 support functions effectively and efficiently.
• Configuring fixed and mobile telephone systems.
• Installing and maintaining all company software.
• Repairing and configuring client hardware, including peripherals.
• To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need
  
  ITIL Foundation qualification is desirable, though relevant hands-on experience is valued over formal certifications.
• Basic understanding of networking and computer hardware, and their integration into IT architecture.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications with a solid understanding of software functionality.
• Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
• A team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and customer service skills.
