IT Graduate - Combined Finance Automation

Graduates will contribute to both control assurance and financial reporting activities, supporting key initiatives across the business. What you'll be doing

• IT Governance & Risk Management - Support control design, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Financial Planning & Analysis - Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI modelling for technology investments.
• Automation & Insight Generation - Apply tools and techniques to streamline control testing and financial reporting.
Control and Assurance
• Support the design, documentation, and testing of IT controls across systems and processes.
• Assist with internal and external audit activities, including evidence collection and remediation tracking.
• Contribute to IT risk assessments and maintain the IT risk register.
• Participate in assurance reviews and control maturity assessments.
• Monitor compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and ISO 27001.
• Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and Business Operations teams to promote awareness of control frameworks.
• Assist in the development of dashboards and reports for control and assurance metrics.
Finance Analysis
• Support the preparation and monitoring of IT budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Contribute to financial modelling for technology investments, including return on investment and cost-benefit analysis.
• Collaborate with IT project managers to track project expenditure and capitalisation.
• Analyse trends in technology spending and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of business cases for new technology initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and compliance with financial policies.
Projects May Include:
• Development of dashboards for control and assurance metrics
• Financial modelling for digital transformation initiatives
• Automation of evidence collection and reporting processes

• A degree (or predicted degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST), financial systems (e.g., SAP), and data tools (e.g., Power BI)
