Full Job Description

Reporting to the Business Development Director you will have a focus and hunger for identifying sales opportunities from both existing and new customers. You will work with the internal admin and quotes team and other key stakeholders to deliver commercial support. You will be liaising with suppliers as required and you will develop a rolling sales pipeline, identifying any major opportunities for business growth including new products to our portfolio and contracts with customers.

Main responsibilities:

· Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.

· Understand customer needs and requirements.

· Make accurate and rapid cost calculations.

· Provide customers with quotations and follow up. Close sale opportunities.

· Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest through targeted approach and marketing of spotlight products.

· Maintain and expand your database of prospects via a rolling pipeline.

· Gather market and customer information.

· Report effectively to the Senior Leadership Team, identifying growth opportunities.

· Generating reports and data analysis.

· Identify new product stock requirements and support existing stock inventory levels to meet key customer demand needs.

· Review your own sales experience against targets. Report regularly to your team leader, discuss sales opportunities, roadblocks and show initiatives for ethical business problem solving with the aim to secure a sale.

· Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a sales administration role or proven industry related role.

· Ability to work with minimum supervision and manage own workload.

· Flexibility, willingness to learn and collaborate.

· Must have strong positive communication skills; verbal, telephone and written.

· Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Office365 applications.

· Experience in systems and data analysis, able to create reports.

  • 1-2 Years experience in sales administration

    Med-Lab is a successful distribution business based in Derby and has been trading since 1954. We are part of the Aerovac Composites One group of companies. Med-Lab's Overhaul Material department supplies consumable materials primarily for the maintenance, overhaul and repair of aero engines including Rolls-Royce. Our Petrochemical department supplies and supports a range of instruments used for testing petroleum products including aviation kerosene, diesel and various heavy fuels and oils.
