Full Job Description

The Registered Manager will report to the Responsible Individual and collaborate closely with other Registered Managers and the Senior Management Team., The Registered Manager will have sole responsibility for managing one residential home, ensuring adherence to organisational policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. They will lead the delivery of exceptional care standards, maintain high occupancy rates, and oversee all aspects of operational management.,

  • Maintain high occupancy levels and prevent placement breakdowns through effective management strategies.

  • Coordinate and develop quality services for young people, ensuring alignment with care, education, and health plan objectives.

  • Foster partnerships with young people, families, local authorities, and professionals to meet individual needs.

  • Provide leadership in implementing organisational strategies and best practices across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and managing incident responses.

  • Manage staffing requirements, providing induction, supervision, and performance management to the team.

  • Oversee HR matters including recruitment, training, and disciplinary procedures.

  • Maintain regulatory compliance with bodies such as Ofsted, aiming for a minimum rating of 'Good'.

  • Manage budgets efficiently and ensure effective use of resources.

  • Utilise information systems to monitor outcomes for staff and young people.

  • Undertake out-of-hours duties as necessary for the smooth running of the home.

  • Participate in local authority reviews and reporting processes.

  • Continuously develop management and leadership skills in line with organisational objectives.

  • Uphold awareness of fire and health and safety regulations.

  • Promote Equal Opportunities and anti-oppressive practices within the service.

  • Contribute to the establishment of clear Equal Opportunities objectives and formulate performance measures.

    Experience in managing residential Children's homes or similar healthcare facilities

  • Level 5 in Management and leadership

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements for residential care

  • Excellent leadership and management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

  • Proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules

  • Experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities

  • First Aid and CPR certification

  • A relevant qualification in Childrens social care or a related field, Candidate must be able to reliably commute to or plan to relocate to Dartford before starting work.
