Full Job Description
The HLTA will support the SENDCo with ensuring all SEND pupils receive high quality inclusive provision by:
- Delivering high quality SEND training and support
- Planning and delivering high quality small group and 1:1 interventions
- Working with the SENDCo to ensure statutory and Code of Practice compliance for all SEND pupils
- Providing teachers and support staff with operational support, delivering best practice classroom/small group/1:1 support to SEND pupils as part of the graduated cycle of Assess, Plan, Do, Review
- Delivering high quality teaching in a whole class setting, utilising year group lesson plans, should the need to arise
- Delivering the roles and responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant (supporting pupils, teaching and learning, working with stakeholders, professional development, safeguarding) In line with the Inclusion Charter, the HLTA - SEND will support the SENDCo in ensuring:
- All SEND pupils and their parents/carers feel welcome and respected
- Our school community understands that children learn in different ways
- Our school community encourages ambition and independence for all SEND pupils
Are you an experienced and dedicated HLTA with experience of SEND? We are seeking an HLTA to join our team and contribute to the success and growth of our school community. Although we are a KS2 setting, we will welcome applicants with experience in areas such as: KS1, Nurture Provision, ESTA, SRP, ARP, SaLT etc. This is a full-time, permanent position.
