About this Role Stephenson Academy Stephenson Academy provides education for students aged between 9 and 16 years. We are the local SEN provision for students with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality, individualised curriculum that meets the needs of our students and supports successful outcomes for all. Our staff team is drawn from all walks of life, creating a dynamic and diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve HLTA-: Pay range 3 Scale point 16-20. We are seeking: · A calm and caring person who will thrive in a busy environment, where conflict resolution and de-escalation are part of everyday life. · A passionate leader of young people, who cares about holistic education and is willing to engage with pastoral concerns that impact every aspect of our students' lives as part of the daily routine. · A mentor with the creativity and imaginative flair to engage our young people, helping them to build resilience and access education more effectively. · Someone skilled at building relationships with everyone, whatever their background and whatever their barriers to learning might be. · An understanding individual who can put themselves in others' shoes and communicate different perspectives, to enhance our students' understanding of the world. · A team player, who can work well with staff and students alike and can communicate at the young person's level in a calm and professional way. · An HLTA who can teach, or is willing to teach, across a variety of subjects at KS3 and KS4, as we continue to develop and refine our curriculum offer.
