Health Care Assistant Trosnant Lodge

We are looking for a Health Care Assistant with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care to join our friendly practice team.

The successful applicant will be working under the nursing team, in accordance with surgery protocols and guidelines, and will be responsible for treatment room duties such as phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, performing ECG's, the administration of IM injections under PSD etc. Please see full job description for more information.

They will also be expected to participate in surgery clinical audits and will also be responsible for the stocking of clinical rooms and for the safe disposal of clinical waste., In this role you will be working under the supervision of our Practice Nurse Team in accordance with the practices guidelines and protocols.

The post holder is part of the Primary Health Care Team and as such shares responsibility for treatment room and nursing related duties.

We are a friendly, well established practice based in Pontypool, South Wales. We aim to offer high quality clinical care to out patients while achieving a good work life balance. Our team is comprised of 3 GP partners, a Salaried GP, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 3 experienced practice nurses and 1 healthcare assistant, alongside good administrative support. We are also a training Practice and currently have an ST3 GP Trainee at the Practice.

Depending on experience Salary Available Upon Request 25 hours a week
