Summary
Headteacher (Special Educational Needs)
Kisimul School Haverhill - Suffolk
Salary: Competitive
Kisimul Group Ltd are a group of independent specialist schools and adult provisions providing exceptional residential care and award-winning education to children, young people and adults with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, severe and complex learning difficulties, global development delay and associated challenging behaviour.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Headteacher at our Kisimul School Lincolnshire, Acacia site. Kisimul School is an independent special school split across two sites in Lincoln. The school offers education for young people aged 11 to 19, many of whom live in one of our associated children's homes.
As Headteacher, you will act as a focal point for leadership of teaching, learning and assessment at the Haverhill school site. You will focus on curriculum delivery and enabling growth within an excellent school and environment.
You will manage the projected growth of the school, while maintaining complex placements.
You will work closely with Registered Care Managers, and facilitate multi-disciplinary interventions utilising the integrated therapy teams.
This is a challenging role, but with the reassurance of a supportive and experienced senior management team, both locally and group wide, this is a unique opportunity for leadership within a superb organisation.
Kisimul Group is an equal opportunities employer.
Because of the nature of its work with children and vulnerable adults, the Kisimul Group uses the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to make checks at an enhanced level on all persons whose work or proposed work will involve regular contact with or working in close proximity to children and vulnerable adults. This post is subject to the enhanced level DBS check
