Full Job Description
St Mary's School seeks a passionate and visionary Head of Biology to lead and inspire our Biology department. This role offers the chance to shape a dynamic curriculum, foster a love of Biology, and enhance the department's profile within the school and beyond.
You will lead a team of dedicated teachers, ensuring high-quality teaching, effective assessment, and continuous professional development. Your leadership will drive student engagement, maintain strong uptake, whilst supporting current students.
Beyond curriculum leadership, you will manage departmental resources and budget, promote enrichment opportunities, and collaborate across the school to support smooth transitions and interdisciplinary links. Your role will also include representing the department at school events and contributing to marketing and admissions efforts.
